What supplications, Quranic verses, and hadiths are recited upon the arrival of a newborn, and what should the mother say before, during, or after childbirth for prayers to be answered? Are there any supplications or verses to facilitate childbirth?

There is no evidence for the permissibility of reciting Qur’an or supplications specifically at the time of a child's birth. However, the parents should praise Allah and supplicate for the child's righteousness. It is recommended to give glad tidings and congratulations for the newborn and to supplicate for their blessing, just as the angels gave glad tidings to Ibrahim and Zakariya.

The rulings concerning a newborn include: the Adhan in the right ear and the Iqamah in the left, shaving the head and donating its weight in silver, performing the Aqiqah, giving them a good name, circumcising them, and focusing on their upbringing.

A woman can supplicate with whatever is appropriate for her situation before, during, or after childbirth, and the supplication of the distressed is answered.

Among what was reported from the Salaf for facilitating childbirth is writing certain verses and supplications and then drinking or sprinkling them, such as the Hadith of Ibn Abbas which Imam Ahmad recorded, and verses from Surat Al-Inshiqaq.

There is no specific supplication for facilitating childbirth, but supplication in general is beneficial, as happened with Zakariya.
