What is the ruling on being named "Mazn" and what should one who is named by it do, given that its meaning is "the raining"?

The name "Mazun" (مازن) is a famous Arabic name. "Al-Muzn" (المُزْن) refers to clouds containing water. "Mazun" has multiple meanings: one who hastens to fulfill a need, one whose face is bright, or ant eggs. It can also mean to go about one's way, or to resemble clouds in generosity. There is no objection to naming someone "Mazun." Some Companions were named "Mazun," and the Prophet, may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him, did not order them to change it. Its interpretation as "the rain-bringer" does not mean that he is the one who sends down rain, but rather that he resembles rain-bearing clouds in the abundance of good he possesses.
