What is the ruling on continuing co-educational studies if the mother will suffer severe health damage as a result of stopping her studies, and is it considered jihad in the path of Allah if the intention of jihad is only to obtain reward without defending Muslim lands?

Previously, the ruling on studying in mixed schools or universities was explained for those who have a necessity or a severe need to study there, and cannot find any other option. In such cases, there is no harm in enrolling. If it is not possible to convince the mother to stop studying in the mixed school, and you fear that she might be harmed, then it is permissible to continue studying while fearing Allah, being cautious of the causes of temptation, striving to accompany good people, and engaging in da'wah activities. As for the second question, if "reward" refers to worldly gain such as spoils or reputation, then fighting for it is not jihad in the path of Allah. However, whoever fights so that the word of Allah may be supreme, then he is in the path of Allah. If the "reward" refers to the reward of the Hereafter, then it is undoubtedly jihad in the path of Allah.
