It is permissible to teach Tajwid even if the teacher has not completed all Tajwid sciences or does not possess an ijazah (authorized certification). However, it is a condition that the children being taught by the woman are young and have not yet become aware of women's awrah (intimate parts). If they are adolescents who comprehend matters related to women, then it is not permissible for them to enter upon them. Jurists have stipulated the obligation for a woman to observe (veiling) from a male who has reached the age of ten, and an adolescent who is nearing puberty.
