Is it permissible for a man to teach Tajweed to approximately forty women?

The fundamental principle regarding men teaching women and women teaching men is permissibility, provided both parties adhere to the Sharia-compliant guidelines. These include women observing the prescribed Islamic dress, lowering their gaze, avoiding private seclusion (khalwa), not softening their speech, and avoiding voice embellishment, and ensuring there is no fear of temptation (fitna). If these guidelines are met, then there is no objection to a man teaching women, especially when there is a large number of students, which removes any suspicion of khalwa, and the teaching is conducted from behind a barrier. However, if a woman is available to fulfill this role, it is more preferable and better.
