Can the divine command to honor one's parents and to accompany them with goodness be a test for the believer, especially in cases where the parents are unjust or neglectful of their children's rights, and that within the context of the believer's trial referred to in Surah Al-Ankabut?

The noble verse that commands kindness and benevolence towards parents and prohibits obeying them in associating partners with God is connected to what is mentioned at the beginning of Surat Al-Ankabut regarding trials and tests; so that God may distinguish the truthful from the liar in their claim of faith. Obeying parents in what pleases God or disobeying them in what angers God are among the duties with which God tests His servants.
