Is it permissible for a woman or an elderly person to perform the circumambulation (Tawaf) and the ritual of fast walking (Sa'i) slowly?

It is sunnah to perform raml (brisk walking) in the first three circuits of tawaf and to jog between the two green markers during sa'i for men, but not for women.

If a man is accompanied by a woman or an elderly person and fears their getting lost, he should walk with them and forgo raml and jogging.

Scholars have unanimously agreed that women are not required to perform raml around the Kaaba or between Safa and Marwah, nor are they required to perform idtiba' (uncovering the right shoulder).

As for the sick or elderly person who is unable to walk at a normal pace, he may walk slowly or perform tawaf while riding if walking becomes difficult for him.
