What is your opinion on the idea that a man's hijab (covering) through lowering his gaze is more important than a woman's hijab, and can "electronic glasses" that block the view of women be considered an alternative to lowering the gaze and a fulfillment of hijab?

Striving for the safety of society from temptations is the responsibility of every Muslim. Among the means to achieve this are lowering the gaze and the woman's covering, and the covering does not necessarily have to be of a specific color. Both genders are responsible for what Allah has obligated upon them, and they must be called to feel Allah's watchfulness and to strengthen their faith-driven restraint. One should frequently contemplate Allah's attributes and read books of encouragement and deterrence. As for wearing earrings and glasses as a means of protection from temptation, it is neither sufficient nor does it solve the problem, due to the forbidden over-exertion involved, and because conviction and faithful desire are more important than mere reliance on these means. Furthermore, this method could lead to serious accidents.
