Is it permissible to change the place of one's Duha sitting (جلسة الضحى) when feeling sleepy, in order to continue remembrance (dhikr) and reading the Quran? Is it permissible to speak with a family member and attend to their needs during the Duha sitting? Is it a condition that the Duha sitting be in a specific room, or can it be anywhere in the house?

The woman who prays Fajr in congregation and then sits remembering Allah attains the reward of sitting in the prayer area (musalla), and the musalla is the entire designated place. It is preferable for the woman not to leave the place where she prayed and to inform her family that she is occupied with dhikr (remembrance of Allah). If a person stands up from their prayer place to attend to a need, they miss out on the reward of sitting, but they may attain the reward by intention if they have a valid excuse. Answering one's parents is obligatory, and showing them dutifulness takes precedence over supererogatory acts of worship. Similarly, helping people and fulfilling their needs may yield a greater reward than supererogatory acts.
