Is the gecko that we are commanded to kill the same as "Abu Baris" (the house gecko) that is found in homes and feeds on insects?

The gecko is also known as "Abu Baris" (or "house gecko"). Islamic law has encouraged its killing and promised a reward for it, as it is narrated in the Hadith that the gecko used to blow on the fire against Ibrahim (Abraham), peace be upon him, when he was thrown into it. The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, called it a "fuwaysiq" (little transgressor/evil-doer).
