It is not permissible for a woman to pass in front of non-mahram men while wearing anything that has a pleasant scent, whether it be perfume or something else. This is because the reason for the prohibition is to avoid anything that incites fitnah (temptation or discord), and a pleasant scent on a woman is feared to arouse men. The perfumed woman who passes by people has been likened to an adulteress, because she incites men's desires with her perfume and causes them to look at her, thereby becoming a cause for the adultery of the eye.
