Is it obligatory for a woman to perform ghusl if she goes to the mosque wearing perfume, knowing that she will pass by men, without intending to tempt them; or if she puts on a light perfume and then goes to another place where the prayer is established; or if she goes to the mosque with a light perfume and fears that a man might have smelled it? And is her prayer accepted in these cases or not?

A woman is not permitted to go out to the mosque perfumed, even if she does not intend to cause temptation for men. If she does so, she must remove the trace of the perfume by washing, like performing ghusl for janabah if the perfume covered her entire body, or washing only the affected area, or changing her clothes. Her prayer is valid and sufficient, and she is not required to repeat it, even if she did not wash off the perfume. However, she will not receive full reward for it. This ruling does not apply if she did not intend to perfume herself for the mosque, but for another place, and then entered the mosque. A woman going out perfumed for places other than the mosque has different rulings; it may be forbidden or disliked depending on the situation. If a cream has a fragrance like perfume, it takes the same ruling, but the prayer is still sufficient.
