Is it permissible to seek divorce from a man who refuses to grow his beard, using the argument that it is a matter of scholarly disagreement?

Divorce is disliked and should only be resorted to after all attempts at reconciliation have failed. It is not permissible for a wife to seek divorce without a valid reason. If the husband does not grow his beard, following the opinion of those who do not consider it obligatory, he is not thereby considered a transgressor (fasiq). His wife should not seek divorce for this reason. Rather, she should advise him wisely and explain the preponderant view regarding the obligation of growing a beard. The wife should cooperate with her husband in obedience, encourage him to associate with righteous people, and pray for him.
