What is the ruling on a wife wearing nail polish that is difficult to remove before major ritual impurity (janabah) and prayer, and is not removed until after the prayer time has elapsed?

It is not permissible to place barriers (like nail polish) for one who is unable to remove them before the time for prayer expires. It is obligatory to strive to remove them. What the wife is unable to remove, it is sufficient for her to wipe over it due to inability. Some scholars pardon minor barriers absolutely.
