What is the ruling on working in an Islamic wedding band despite being in dire need of money?

It is permissible to work in Islamic wedding bands under certain conditions: that the chanting be performed only in front of men, that the words be permissible and devoid of wantonness, that the chanting not be accompanied by any musical instruments or sound effects that resemble musical instruments, and that pictures of the chanters not be placed on the covers of tapes. If the band is free from these prohibitions, then there is no harm in working with it, while emphasizing that the avenues of sustenance are numerous, and that a Muslim attains sustenance only through obedience to Allah.
