Why was extreme displeasure and grief forbidden when calamities struck?

It is forbidden to show discontent and excessive grief during calamities if they are a form of objection to God's decree and a dislike of the tribulation. This is because such an attitude impugns God's wisdom, mercy, sovereignty, and management, and because there is no benefit in it, for the decree is executed.
