Will a prayer against oneself for torment be answered if uttered in heedlessness?
A person's unintentional supplication against himself is not held against him, based on the verse: "Our Lord, do not impose blame upon us if we have forgotten or erred," and Allah has answered this supplication. What is forbidden is the intentional supplication against oneself, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Do not supplicate against yourselves, and do not supplicate against your children, and do not supplicate against your wealth. Do not coincide with a moment from Allah in which a grant is requested, and He responds to you."
