Is advising people not to follow secular channels that fight Islam considered a form of jihad?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Jihad is not limited to fighting disbelievers; rather, it includes enjoining good and forbidding evil, and inviting to righteousness. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, engaged in all types of jihad with his heart, tongue, and hand, and Allah commanded him to wage jihad from the time of his prophethood.

Waging jihad against hypocrites with proof and clear exposition is harder than waging jihad against disbelievers. It is the jihad of the elite among the Ummah and the inheritors of the Prophets. Those who undertake it are few, but they are great in the sight of Allah.

Among the best forms of jihad is speaking the truth in the presence of one whose power and harm are feared, and this was the most abundant share of the Prophets.
