Is it permissible for men and women to enter the mosque through a single door, and is that considered impermissible mixing (ikhtilat)?

It is established that allocating a door for women in the mosque is to prevent their mixing with men and the resulting temptation (fitna).

If the mosque has only one door through which both men and women enter, then their entry through it is permissible with certain controls, including: lowering the gaze, ensuring no physical contact, and women exiting with their lawful hijab, modesty, and lowered voices.

Mixing (ikhtilat) is forbidden if it involves private seclusion (khalwa) with a non-mahram woman, looking with lust, a woman's immodest display and lack of proper covering, frivolous play, and physical contact.

Mixing is permissible if there is a legitimate need, while observing the rules of Sharia, such as a woman going out for congregational prayers and Eid prayers, for Hajj, and interacting with men in buying, selling, and renting.
