Will humans in Paradise have the freedom of choice such that they can make mistakes, just as Iblis had the freedom of choice among the angels before his transgression?

1 min readAlso available in العربية

Paradise is a abode of reward for the believers, not a place of obligation. They enjoy therein whatever they wish, and they immerse themselves in the remembrance of Allah, His glorification, and praise, as their souls are inspired to do so, due to the perfection of their delight in His remembrance and love. The hearts of the people of Paradise are pure, and their words are good. They hear no idle talk or sin therein, only peace. It is an abode of purity and cleanliness, and Allah has removed all rancor from their breasts. As for Iblis, he was not one of the angels.
