Is it permissible to delay expiating an oath until the afternoon in order to find needy people, and is it valid to feed one needy person every day?

Scholars have differed regarding whether the expiation for an oath must be performed immediately or can be delayed. It is permissible to feed one poor person each day until the feeding of ten poor persons is completed. Ibn Qudamah said: "And if he feeds a poor person each day until he completes the ten, it is sufficient for him, without any disagreement that we know of."
