Do a man and a woman become "muḥṣan" (protected/chaste) immediately upon the consummation of their marriage contract (for the first time) between them?

The muhsan (chaste, married) individual whose punishment is stoning is the free, adult person who has had intercourse with their spouse in the vagina through a valid marriage. It is not a condition that they be married at the time of committing the act that necessitates stoning. So, whoever divorces or whose wife dies remains a muhsan if the remaining conditions are met.
