How can a husband be just between two wives, one of whom strives for his comfort, while the other deliberately spoils his serenity, given his commitment to justice in material matters and lodging as much as possible, especially when the first wife tells him that she cannot continue except on a certain condition, despite her causing the disruption of his life?

Polygyny is permissible in Islamic law for one who is able to be just, and it becomes obligatory if the husband fears temptation for himself due to his wife not fulfilling his needs. It is the wife's right to demand justice if the husband does not provide it, but she is not allowed to harm him or make his life miserable because he married another woman, as harming a Muslim is forbidden. Justice between wives is obligatory. If the wife is upright, she receives her rights. As for the rebellious wife (nashiz), her right to overnight stay and maintenance is forfeited. If a woman waives her right, she is allowed to do so, and she may retract her waiver whenever she wishes. It is advised to strive to normalize affairs for the stability of the family and for the children to grow up away from problems.
