Does not seeking treatment for obsessive-compulsive disorder contradict the Prophet Muhammad's (peace be upon him) saying: "Seek treatment, O servants of Allah, for Allah has not sent down any disease but that He has also sent down its cure"?

Seeking medical treatment is a legitimate act encouraged by the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, who said: "Seek treatment, O servants of Allah, for Allah has not created a disease without also creating a cure for it." A patient should seek treatment, especially if their illness is obsessive-compulsive disorder (waswas), due to its negative effects. The sinfulness of not doing so depends on the differing opinions of scholars regarding the ruling on seeking medical treatment.
