What is the ruling on the clear fluid that is continuously discharged, and does it necessitate ghusl if it gets on clothes?

Madhī is a thin, white fluid that is discharged upon thought or foreplay. It necessitates istinjāʾ (washing of private parts), wuḍūʾ (ablution), and purifying whatever it has stained on the body and clothes. Sprinkling water on the clothes is sufficient. As for manī (sperm), it is pure and does not necessitate changing or washing clothes. Ghusl (ritual bath) is only obligatory when the discharge of manī that necessitates ghusl is certain. When in doubt between manī and madhī, one may choose the ruling of whichever one they wish.
