What should a husband do if his wife persists in disobeying his commands by refusing to reside in his parents' house despite the presence of a separate wing, and by refusing to correct her hijab?

The default is for the wife to reside where her husband resides, and she is not permitted to refuse unless she stipulated before marriage that she would reside in her own home. If she did not stipulate this, then she must obey him by living with him wherever he wishes, as long as he provides her with a suitable, independent dwelling. Obedience to the husband in what is good takes precedence over obedience to parents.

The husband must compel his wife to observe the legal hijab, and he is not permitted to allow her to go out or appear before non-mahram men without a hijab that fulfills the conditions. If she does not obey him, he must use the legitimate means of reform with her: admonition, abandonment in bed, and non-violent striking.
