Is it permissible to eat all types of meat and poultry offered by the People of the Book in their countries, regardless of the method of slaughter, skinning, or cooking, with the exception of pork? And what is the evidence for that?

Allah Almighty has permitted for Muslims the slaughtered animals of the People of the Book, as long as they are slaughtered according to Islamic law by cutting the jugular veins and the esophagus. However, if they are slaughtered by stunning or strangulation, they are considered carrion and are not permissible to eat. Therefore, whatever slaughtered meat comes from countries of the People of the Book is permissible, unless it is known that it was slaughtered in a manner other than the Islamic way. As for what comes from countries that have no religion or are pagan, it is forbidden, unless it is verified that it was slaughtered in an Islamic manner by a Muslim or a person from the People of the Book. If the slaughtered animals are from Christian or Jewish countries where it is customary to slaughter by a method other than the Islamic way (such as stunning), then it is not permissible to eat them. If the status of these slaughtered animals imported from the People of the Book is unknown, the default ruling is that they are permissible.
