Is it permissible for me to recite remembrances (dhikr), such as "In the name of Allah, with whose name nothing on earth or in the heavens can cause harm, and He is the All-Hearing, the All-Knowing," and then wipe with them over my younger brother (8 years old or less) with the intention of fortifying him?

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, never abandoned the supplication: "O Allah, I ask You for pardon and well-being in my faith, my worldly life, my family, and my wealth," morning and evening. One can protect their family by saying "In the name of Allah, with Whose name nothing on Earth or in the heaven can cause harm" with the intention of protection. A child who reaches the age of eight should be taught the remembrances (adhkar) to protect themselves. It is prescribed to wipe with the hand when complaining (of an ailment) while supplicating with "Remove the suffering, O Lord of mankind."
