Have scholars differed regarding the commendability of a woman's staying in the home?

The Islamic Sharia has urged women to stay in their homes, based on the Almighty's saying: "And stay in your houses, and do not display yourselves as [was] the display of the former times of ignorance." This command is required of all women. It was also mentioned in the Hadith: "Indeed, a woman is an 'awrah (something to be covered and protected), so when she leaves her house, Satan entices her. And she is closest to the mercy of her Lord when she is in the innermost part of her house." A woman's prayer in her home is better for her than her prayer in the Prophet's Mosque or any other mosque. This indicates that a woman's remaining in her home protects and preserves her from temptation. Her leaving is not permissible except out of necessity, while adhering to Islamic manners. If she finds someone who can meet her needs, then her staying in her home is the best.
