My master, I want to know what sectarianism means?

The word "sect" (طائفة) in the Arabic language means a group, as in the Almighty's saying: "And if there was a party (طائفة) of you who believed in that with which I have been sent and a party (طائفة) who did not believe." As for the term "sectarianism" (الطائفية) in the current era, it refers to fanaticism and loyalty to a specific group based on a creedal bond. Muslims are obligated to reject this fanaticism and hold fast to the Book of Allah and the Sunnah of His Prophet.
