What is the ruling on the action of a wife who left her husband's home to reside in a separate house she bought with her own money, taking one of her husband's children with her, and refusing to return to him despite the family's pleas, in order to secure her financial future due to not having children, after she had returned to work despite her husband's objection?

A wife should obey her husband and not leave his house without his permission. She must return to her husband's home and abandon the idea of working outside the house if her husband does not approve, or seek a job that suits her and does not conflict with her domestic duties and her husband's rights. Securing the future is not a justification for neglecting a religious duty. Obeying her husband is better for her in this world and the hereafter, for Islam has guaranteed her financial support from her husband and her inheritance from him. The husband should be patient with his wife and seek reward from Allah, and he should know that his wife is not obligated to raise his children from another woman or serve his mother.
