What is the ruling on a Muslim woman who uncovers a part of her body (such as her arm, leg, or neck) – which has a disability or blemish – for the purpose of begging, believing that this is not a sin because it does not tempt men?

It is not permissible for a woman to expose any part of her arm, leg, or neck to anyone to whom it is unlawful for her to show it, except out of necessity or need. She commits a sin if she does so without a legitimate religious justification. The sacred texts unequivocally command concealment. Some sick souls may be tempted by anything related to a woman. For this reason, a woman was forbidden from striking her feet on the ground, lest her hidden adornment be heard, as Allah Almighty says: "And let them not strike their feet so that what they conceal of their adornment may be known." Her need for money does not permit her to expose her body; rather, she can ask without committing a forbidden act, and she must beware of asking for the sake of accumulating wealth.
