Is it permissible to slaughter the hady (sacrificial animal) on the first day of Dhu al-Hijjah based on the fatwa of one of the scholars?

It was previously mentioned in Fatwa no. 36496 that scholars differed regarding slaughtering the hady (sacrificial animal) before the Day of Nahr (slaughter, the 10th of Dhul-Hijjah). The preponderant opinion is that it is impermissible. However, since you did so emulating a trustworthy scholar, it is sufficient for you, because Al-Shafi'i held the view that it is permissible to slaughter the hady before the Day of Nahr. Ibn Abd al-Barr said: "Whoever emulates a trustworthy scholar in the rulings of his Shari'ah is excused, because he has fulfilled his obligation, and he must emulate a scholar in matters he is ignorant of."
