What is thighing (al-mufakhadhah), how does it occur, what is its ruling in Islam, and is it permissible to practice it with one's wife, whether she has been consummated with or only contractually married? Is it considered forbidden for a suitor to kiss and embrace his contractually married fiancée such that their private parts almost touch, sometimes against her refusal, and is it permissible for him to see her hair, arm, and chest, and to kiss her chest before consummation?

Irregularity in prayer is a grave matter, and you must maintain it. Thighing between spouses is permissible, as are kissing, embracing, and seeing parts of her body, even if penetration has not occurred, because she is legally his wife, while observing custom regarding the delay of consummation. It is preferable to hasten the marriage and consummation after the contract, and the husband does not have the right to obedience from his wife before the delivery of the immediate dowry.
