How can a Muslim student, studying mathematical sciences and aiming for excellence in order to defend and propagate Islam, achieve his goal despite his colleagues' skepticism about his ability to change the state of the Ummah amidst current challenges?

Muslims must facilitate matters and not complicate them, and give glad tidings, not repel. Attacks targeting Muslims must be confronted by expending effort and spreading the tenets of Islam, with confidence that Allah will reward those who intend good. Worldly sciences are required, and the reward for those who pursue them is great. One must strive to benefit Muslims by excelling in various specializations, accompanying people of high aspirations, and performing righteous deeds even if one does not see their fruit in this life.
