The answer

Yellowish and brownish discharges are impure (najis) and nullify ablution unless they are considered menstruation. They are considered menstruation if they occur during the woman's customary period or if they are continuous with blood. The intermittent yellowish and brownish discharges that the questioner sees are not considered menstruation, so she must cleanse herself (') and perform ablution (wudu') for prayer. If their discharge is continuous, then it is sufficient to perform ablution after the prayer time begins, and she can pray both obligatory and supererogatory prayers with it, like someone afflicted with urinary incontinence (sals). As for slight reddish discharge, it is not considered menstruation unless its duration reaches a day and a night, according to the majority of scholars. There is no need to repeat prayers unless it is certain that something occurred that invalidates them.
