Does divorce occur if the wife disobeys her husband's prohibition against visiting her relatives?

A husband may prevent his wife from visiting her relatives, especially if he fears corruption from such a visit. The wife sins by disobeying his command to visit them, as her obedience to him is obligatory. Divorce does not occur merely by her visiting her relatives unless the husband made it contingent upon that visit. If he did make it contingent, then divorce occurs according to the majority of scholars. Some scholars are of the view that if the husband did not intend to make the divorce contingent upon the visit except for the purpose of threat or prevention, then divorce does not occur, and he owes an expiation for breaking an oath.
