Is it permissible for the car owner to agree with the customer on an amount, then give the driver who makes the delivery a smaller amount (commission)?

The inquirer needs to clarify the nature of the agreement with the driver. If the driver is an employee hired for a known wage, then whatever he earns from the rides belongs to the inquirer, and the inquirer is not obliged to inform the driver of the agreement with the passenger.

However, if the driver's wage is a percentage of what he earns, then there is a difference of opinion regarding the validity of such a hiring. But according to the view that permits it, it is not permissible to conceal part of the passenger's fare from the driver, as his right is attached to it. Concealing it is an injustice and an unlawful appropriation of his wealth. The inquirer is not allowed to take a commission without the knowledge of the person from whom it is taken.
