What is the ruling on praying in a mosque whose imam openly commits فسق (transgression/immorality)?
If someone is far from the Kaaba and cannot see it, they are required to face its general direction, not its exact location. A deviation of 30 degrees does not go outside the general direction, and prayer performed with such a deviation is permissible. However, a deviation of 48 degrees takes the person outside the direction of the , and prayer with this deviation is not permissible.
