Is the motivation of fearing to pay money for every sin, instead of fearing Allah, considered a legitimate way to quit sins?

There are two scenarios for someone who abandons something forbidden: 1. They abandon it in obedience to Allah's command. In this case, they are safe from sin and punishment and will be rewarded for their intention to draw closer to Allah, as the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Actions are but by intentions." 2. They abandon it without the intention of obedience. In this case, they are safe from sin and punishment only, without receiving any reward.

Therefore, abandoning sins is beneficial in all circumstances, and the reward is linked to the righteousness of the intention. If the motive for the vow is to distance oneself from the forbidden, then it entails safety from sin and punishment, and compliance with the prohibition, and the person will be rewarded.
