Is the story of the Muslim man who answered the priest's questions in the church, after which the priest and those with him embraced Islam, true?

The story of these questions is widespread among preachers and in forums, and their answers are contrived and inaccurate. This story has no origin, is circulated without a chain of transmission, and is evidently fabricated. Those who call to Allah should suffice themselves with what is mentioned in the Holy Quran and what has been authentically reported from the Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, in sound hadiths, for in that there is sufficiency and blessing. Allah Almighty says: (Therefore remind with the Quran whoever fears My warning), and He says: (Say, "I only warn you by revelation." But the deaf do not hear the call when they are warned.)
