What is the ruling on the story of the man who stumbled on his way to the mosque three times, and Satan appeared to him to tell him that he was the cause of his stumbling in order to prevent him from praying, claiming that Allah forgives the worshipper, his relatives, and the people of his village due to his persistence in prayer? And is it permissible to disseminate it with the intention of giving advice?

It is advisable to rely on the revealed scripture when offering advice, as it has a greater impact, in accordance with His, the Almighty’s, saying: [Say, "I only warn you by revelation"] (Al-Anbiya: 45), and His saying: [And this Qur'an was revealed to me that I may warn you thereby and whoever it reaches] (Al-An'am: 19), and His saying: [Say, "If I should err, I err only against myself; but if I am guided, it is by what my Lord reveals to me"] (Saba: 50). It has been authentically reported in the Sunnah that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite the Qur'an to those whom he invited to Islam.
