I am unable to repent no matter how hard I try, and prayer feels burdensome?

Sincere repentance necessitates regret and a firm resolve not to return to the sin. Allah grants success to the truly repentant and accepts their repentance. One must contemplate death and hold oneself accountable, associate with the righteous, and persevere in prayer with attentiveness and reflection.
