Is zakat obligatory on the amount received from the monthly society (jama'iyyah) after one lunar year has passed since its receipt, or after one lunar year has passed since the payment of the first installment therein?

You must pay zakat on each installment you contribute to the association when its hawl (zakat year) is due. It is permissible to pay zakat in advance for the entire sum when the hawl of the first installment is complete. This association is permissible, and zakat is obligatory on the money lent to your brethren in the association because they are solvent. You may pay the zakat along with your own money or delay it until you receive it, then pay it for the past period.
