Is it permissible to perform Hajj through other means if my country prevents it, especially since the cost of Hajj this year is very high, and I am not yet 43 years old? Is it better to perform Hajj this year or to wait until next year to fulfill the obligation with my wife?

The original ruling, according to the majority of scholars, is that Hajj is obligatory immediately upon ability. So, whoever finds a way to it must hasten to perform it. However, many scholars have stipulated that if one finds a conveyance at a price or rental cost exceeding its typical value, Hajj is not obligatory upon them. Imam An-Nawawi said: "If the distance between him and Mecca is such that prayers can be shortened, Hajj is not obligatory upon him unless he finds a suitable conveyance for someone like him at its typical price or rental cost. If he does not find it, or finds it at a price or rental cost exceeding its typical value, or is unable to afford its price or rental cost, Hajj is not obligatory upon him." Therefore, there is no harm in delaying Hajj this year if the conveyance is priced or rented at more than its typical value.
