Is it obligatory to perform the Hajj this year, or can it be postponed until next year, given the financial ability?

The preponderant opinion among most scholars is that Hajj is obligatory immediately (upon capability), and that it is not permissible for one who is capable to delay it without an excuse, because a person does not know what may befall them, and Allah Almighty commanded hastening to good deeds.
