A Muslim must hasten to perform Hajj whenever they are able, for Allah the Almighty says: (And Hajj (pilgrimage to Makkah) to the House (Ka‘bah) is a duty that mankind owes to Allah, those who can afford the expenses (for one’s conveyance and provision, or can afford to reach it by themselves if they are residents of Makkah)), and because the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: (Hasten to perform Hajj – meaning the obligatory one – for none of you knows what might befall him).
