Is it permissible for a person who is able to perform Hajj to delay it for several years?

Whoever is able to perform Hajj and meets the conditions for its obligation, Hajj becomes immediately obligatory upon them, and it is not permissible for them to delay it. This is supported by the words of Allah Almighty: ﴿And Hajj to the House is a duty owed to Allah by mankind—those who are able to find a way to it.﴾ This verse indicates that the command is for immediate action. Likewise, the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever intends to perform Hajj, let him hasten to it." So, if a Muslim is able to perform Hajj, it becomes obligatory upon them to promptly undertake it.
