What is the ruling on ghusl and dealing with clothing for one from whom semen exits in spurts and drops that continue for a long time after the main ejaculation?

If semen is discharged with desire, ghusl (ritual bath) becomes obligatory, and it should be delayed until the discharge stops. However, if it is discharged without desire, the majority of scholars hold that ghusl is not required. As for madhy (pre-seminal fluid), it must be purified from clothing, and it is sufficient to sprinkle water on it. A small amount of it is excused due to the difficulty of guarding against it. Semen, according to the preponderant opinion among scholars, is pure, so it is not obligatory to wash whatever it touches; washing it is merely recommended. However, the Hanbalis consider semen impure if discharged without pleasure, and washing it becomes obligatory in this case. The Shafi'is, on the other hand, mandate ghusl even if semen is discharged without pleasure, but they consider semen pure and do not require washing it.
