What is the ruling regarding those who manage and participate in Facebook groups where prohibited things and destructive calls are circulated, and is it permissible to remain in them?

The internet is a great tool that can be used for good and for spreading truth. Whoever uses it for evil and corruption bears the burden of what they disseminate, because what is published may be seen by millions of people. He who calls to guidance will have a reward similar to that of those who follow him, and he who calls to misguidance will bear sins similar to those of those who follow him. Whoever is capable of preventing the spread of corruption is not permitted to allow its dissemination, otherwise, he incurs sin, for the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "Whoever among you sees an evil, let him change it with his hand; if he cannot, then with his tongue; if he cannot, then with his heart—and that is the weakest of faith." The basic principle is to prevent a Muslim from being present in a place where Allah Almighty is disobeyed, for Allah Almighty says: "And when you see those who engage in [offensive] discourse concerning Our verses, then turn away from them until they enter into another conversation." However, if the presence is for a legitimate purpose, such as enjoining good and forbidding evil, or establishing proof against مخالفين (those who disagree), then it is permissible, and may even be recommended or obligatory. No one should engage in dialogue with the people of falsehood unless he possesses sufficient religious knowledge.
